"5 Apps Every Entrepreneur Needs"

5 best apps for your business

You can pretty much do everything from a mobile phone these days. Evening running a business. Whether you want to organise your finances or implement a marketing strategy, there’s an app for it!

There are so many different apps out there, we are literally spoilt for choice. Here are 5 apps every entrepreneur should have…

Planoly – Instagram Scheduling

Keeping up with the ‘gram’ can feel like a full-time job sometimes! But, with Planoly it doesn’t have to be! Not only is it super easy to use, but it also saves a ton of time – a big bonus for any entrepreneur!

My favourite feature is the drag and drop, it allows you to see what your whole grid will look like before hitting the publish button. This helps to keep your feed on brand and cohesive. Another great feature is the analytics. You can quickly see which posts are getting the most traction and what days/ times work best for your audience.

If you opt for the paid plan, you’ll get the option to auto-publish the first comment – perfect for adding your hashtags to the comment rather than within the caption.

I love this app so much, I even wrote a whole blog about it if you want to know more.

Canva – Content Creation

Canva is an easy-to-use graphic design tool for creating eye-catching on-brand graphics for your social media, landing pages, workbooks, website and more. With plenty of beautiful templates to choose from, you don’t need to be a designer to get great results from this app.

There’s a huge library of fonts, images, vectors, and backgrounds. You can even save your brand colours, font and logo for easy access when creating your content.

Voxer – Client Communication

I often find that clients prefer to explain things in words, rather than typing out a long message. That’s where Voxer comes in. It’s like having a walkie talkie to communicate with clients or your team, regardless of where they are in the world.

With just a click of a button, you can send voice messages up to 15 minutes long. You can also create group chats and send videos, photos and text messages from within the app.

Google Drive – Client Docs & Planning

Google Drive is a super accessible free app that you can use on your laptop or mobile. It’s a cloud-based full office suite (docs, sheets, slides, calendar, mail etc.) that you can use to store, edit, share and collaborate on files and projects from anywhere.

The free version offers a huge 15GB of storage (which for me is more than enough). But, you can upgrade to 100GB of space for only a couple of quid a month.

Asana – Project Management & Team Support

Asana is a great task management tool for both solopreneurs or if you have a team. Projects or ‘tasks’ can be easily prioritised using a variety of views such as list, board or calendar. You can assign tasks, attach documents, and chat with your clients/ team.

Another great thing about Asana is that it integrates with soooo many other tools you’re probably already using such as Slack, MailChimp, WordPress and Google Drive.
