"Creating Content That Converts Your Ideal Clients"

Why did you start your business? Let me guess… you wanted more freedom to do more of the things you love. You wanted to work on your own terms, without a boss telling you what can and can’t do. You wanted to do something you enjoy and that helps other people.

Whatever the reason, you probably started out without enough money, time, clients or knowledge. Yet somehow we get past those hurdles and get our ideas off the ground.

Perseverance is one thing, but staying focused on the things that really count is what can make or BREAK your business in the long run. This is particularly true when it comes to creating content.

Content is sooooo important when it comes to marketing your business. But, it’s easy to get caught up making pretty graphics in Canva, and before you know it… you’ve wasted 2 hours of valuable time with nothing to show except a few measly likes.

If your content isn’t doing you and your business justice, you might as well take a nap or sit around, because you’re throwing your time away. So, here’s 3 actionable steps you can take today to help move your business forward and start creating content that converts your ideal clients.

1. Show up as an AUTHORITY

First of all, ask yourself these questions:

  • Are you showing up and positioning yourself as an authority?
  • Are people looking to you as the leader in your niche?
  • Do people come to you because you know your sh*t? Or do they just see you as another ‘guru’ online?

When people see you as an authority in your niche, they consider you to be a reliable source of information. They know they can count on you to provide valuable content because you know your stuff!

Being an authority will help build awareness of your brand, grow your audience online, drive leads and sales. Because guess what? People buy from people they trust! When they see you standing out as an authority figure in your field, they feel confident in buying your services or products.

2. Focus on the BENEFIT

Stop talking about anything and everything. People want to find solutions to their problems. If you have the solution they’re looking for, talk about it. Show them how working with you will benefit them.

If you find yourself wondering what the heck to post next, don’t just ramble on about random crap. Because if they don’t see the value in what you’re talking about, they won’t see themselves as a potential client or customer.⁣

Instead, think about who your ideal client is. We’ll go on to that next…

3. Create an unbreakable CONNECTION

One of the biggest mistakes I see is people making is, focusing too much on education and not thinking about the connection between them and their audience. Take a look at your content and ask yourself, does it speak to my ideal client? Am I someone they feel connected to? If the answer is “no”, you need to make some changes!

To connect with your audience, you need to have an idea of who they are and what they want. Demographics (gender, age, location) are great, but if you really want to connect with your audience you need to delve deeper!

  • What keeps them awake a night?
  • What’s their morning routine?
  • What are their limiting beliefs?
  • What’s holding them back from achieving their goals?
  • Where do they want to be in a years time, or even longer?
  • What’s stopping them from investing in someone like you?
  • What misconceptions do they have about your niche/field/work/product etc?

Knowing the answer to those types of questions will help you create content that connects with your ideal client.

These 3 actions are simple to do and I promise you, WILL make a difference and HUGE shift in moving your business forward! ⁣
